Girls Soccer Tryout and Pre-Season Information

Whitman Hanson Girls’ Soccer2011 Pre-Season Schedule
Listed below are the dates and times of tryouts. Remember that all players must have an
updated physical in order to tryout (there are no physicals held at the school). An
updated physical is one that was given within the last twelve months (August 2010).
When you get a physical from your doctor you must obtain a note/form saying that you
are in good physical health and you may participate without restrictions. Make sure your
physician dates the note/form. A parent permission slip (found on the school website)
must also be filled out. You will not be able to tryout until all of this information is
completed and handed in to me. *** Players are expected to attend
all tryouts and practices! Please bring a soccer ball and
water bottle to tryouts.

August 24 (Wednesday)
**4:00pm – 5:30pm** (Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors only) Meeting to
collect forms (physical and parental) and timed two mile run. (bring running
shoes).
(All players should report to the high school a minimum of 20 minutes prior to starting
time)
August 25 – Tryouts
*1:30 – 2:15 (Freshman) Concussion Baseline Testing – Report to room 218
2:30 – 4:30 (Freshmen) Bring Physical and Parental forms. (Remember your soccer ball)
*3:30 – 4:15 (Soph,Jr,SR) Concussion Baseline Testing – Report to room 218
4:30 – 7:30pm (Soph, Jr, Sr)
August 26 – Tryouts
2:30 – 4:30 - Freshmen
4:30 - 7:30pm (Soph, Jr, Sr)
August 27 – Tryouts
7:30am – 11:00 am (Soph, Juniors, Seniors) Home scrimmage with E. B (8:30am)
Teams will be Chosen
1:30 – 3:30 (Freshmen)
4:30 – 7:00pm (Varsity and JV only)
August 28 – Varsity and JV practice (4:00 – 7:00)
August 29 –
3:00 – 5:30pm Varsity & J.V scrimmage home against Plymouth North
3:00 – 5:00 Freshman team practice
August 30 - Practice
3:00 – 5:30pm Varsity & J.V practice
3:00 – 5:00 Freshman team practice
August 31 –
2:45 – 5:00 Freshman & J.V Practice
5:00 – Varsity Scrimmage vs Canton
September 1 - 2
3:00 – 5:30 Everybody practices
September 3 – Scrimmage
9:00am - Varsity and J.V scrimmage at Oliver Ames
