Panthers Football Back on Track
The Panthers put on an offensive display last night led by senior quarterback John Caliri who threw for 228 yards and three touchdowns to lead Whitman-Hanson to a convincing 30-13 victory over Apponoquet before a large crowd at Dennis M. O'Brien field. The senior threw touchdown passes to Tom Sapienza, Dondre James and Dave Colclough. The scoring was started on the first play when Senior Captain David Bailey took the hand off and raced 63 yards to put the Panthers on top 7-0. The offensive line of AJ Glynn, Tyler Benner, Corey Burns, Ian Monfils and Chris Macandrews dominated all night long. Jerry Thompson led the defense with 8 tackles and sophomore Charlie Murphy had two huge sacks late in the game. Next up for the Panthers 4-0 Pembroke next Friday night. This is the Whitman-Hanson homecoming game. Alumni are encouraged to attend the game to reconnect with their Panther pride.
