Baseball Makes it 2 Straight

Hanover – Whitman-Hanson Senior Brian Chapman smacked a 2-run single in the top of the 8th inning and scored on the same play when the ball got away snapping an 8-8 tie and powering Whitman-Hanson to a 14-8 win. Kevin Kelly (3 hits on the day) added to the lead in the 8th with a 2 run triple and Jake Pendrak drove him home with an RBI single. Senior Dave Bailey, who fired 3 strong innings of relief, had 3 hits, an RBI and 2 runs scored for the Panthers who post their second straight win after starting the season with 3 straight losses. Sean Goldman, John Caliri and Chapman all had 2 hits to lead a 15 hit Whitman-Hanson attack.
