Tuesday Recap

* Brian Chapman fired a complete game for the Panthers and did not give up an earned run, but the Hingham Harbormen scored 4 unearned runs in the bottom of the 6th to erase a 3-0 deficit and drop WH, 4-3.
* Boys Tennis was blanked by Hingham 5-0.
* The Whitman-Hanson girls tennis team lost to Hingham by the score of 5-0.
Whitman-Hanson is now 2-2 on the season...0-1 in the Patriot League
* Varsity softball beat Hingham 8-3. Megan Downing was 3-4 with a double and 3 RBI. Caitlin Hughes was 2-3 with a double and 3 RBI. Jackie Bentley was the winning pitcher improving her record to
3-0. The Panthers are 3-1 overall.
* The Whitman-Hanson girls Track team improved to 2-0 with a 111-20 victory over Duxbury. Nicole Galewski was a triple winner, winning the long and triple jump as well as the 200. Sam Richner was a double winner taking first in the high jump and 400 Hurdles and Gianna Cacciatore won the mile and 2 mile.

Other winners for Whitman-Hanson Danielle Spivack in the 100, Casey Egan in the 800, Christine Newcomb in the discus, Rachael Wiltshire in the shot put, Melanie Collins 100 hurdles and Megan Brain Javelin.

* The Boys’ Track team dominated the first home meet of the season on Tuesday defeating Duxbury with a final score of 100-36. The team scored points in all 16 events and were aided in their victory by a number of sweeps. Dom Cacciatore, Luke Laubacher, and Paul Kennedy swept the 400 meter, Dondre James, Drew Howard, and Brian Cashman swept the triple jump, and Blake Hickey, Dom Cacciatore and Cory Gilbert swept the long jump. Hickey won 3 events on the day and Steve Rice had an outstanding performance in the javelin to take first place. The next meet is Thursday vs. Quincy and North Quincy. Patriot League
