Late Rally by Weymouth Earns Tie

The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team tied Weymouth 2-2  at rain soaked Weymouth stadium. Whitman Hanson jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Alexis Fruzzetti headed home a Marina Kelly corner kick in the first half. The score remained 1-0 when the thunder and lighteneing arrived and delayed the game for 30 minutes. WH increased the lead in the second half when Yasmin Civan took a pass from Alexis Fruzzetti and broke through the Weymouth firing a low shot in to the back of the net. The score remained 2-0 until with 8 minutes left in the game, Weymouth was awrded their first corner kick and some miscomunication in front of the WH net put Weymouth on the baord. With 4 minutes remaining Weymouth scoredon a blast from 25yds out that found the upper left corner and tied the score. WH record is now 9-0-1. Outstanding performances were turned in by Lily Higgins, Kelsey Gilbert and Alyssa Eaton.
