The Boys’ Track team competed in a tough meet vs. Silver Lake on Thursday at the Reggie Lewis Center to open the 2013 Indoor Track Season. The Panthers fought hard all the way through the final events, winning both relays to finish in a 50-50 tie with the Lakers. There were some great performances and also some areas of improvement that the team will work on as they prepare for another tough competition with Hingham on Tuesday. Standout performances include Dan Gould taking first place in the 300 and Long Jump, Nate Stephansky taking first in the mile, Matt Hughes taking first place in the Shot put, and Newcomer Paul Duffey taking first in the 600. The 800 meter relay team of Andrew Clemens, Ryan Silva, Nick Haley, and Dan Gould as well as the 1600 meter relay team of Nate Stephansky, Chris Londergan, Brian Sheppard, and Paul Duffey also had outstanding performances for two more first place finishes.
