The baseball team split a pair of games over the weekend. The season got off to a rocky start at Bridgewater-Raynham on Friday as the Trojans dropped the Panthers 17-1. But, the very next day, WH showed some resiliency by dominating Scituate 9-3. Senior mike memmolo was in control on the hill going 5 strong innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits while striking out 8. Sophomore Mike Gould inherited a bases loaded no one out situation in the 6th and worked out of the jam nicely. Senior Paul Lucas was the offensive star of the day going 2 for 3 with a grand slam. Senior captain Jerry Thompson had a nice day at the plate as well with 3 hits. The Panthers return to action tomorrow at home against the defending champion Hingham Harbormen.
