Boys and Girls Soccer stopped by Scituate

The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team suffered their first defeat of the season 0-2 against Scituate. Whitman Hanson outshot the sailors 16-8 but could not find the net against a strong Scituate defense. Hayley Wells, Hayley Bukow, Lily Higgins and Kelsey Gilbert all had strong performances for the 3-1 Panthers. -------------------------------------------------/////////////// The W-H Boys team lost a hard fought game to Scituate 2 – 1. After playing even for over 55 minutes, Matt Logue scored to put the Sailors up 1 -0. The Panthers continued to battle and had numerous scoring opportunities but couldn’t connect. The Sailors scored their second goal with 10 minutes left in the game. The Panthers finally got on the board with 2 minutes left on a 25 yard blast by Stephen Stephansky.
