Golf Team Ends Season, But Cole Moves On

Whitman-Hanson's sophomore sensation Cole Manning has advanced to the state tournament final round at Blackstone National in Sutton, MA on Monday, October 28. Cole finished the qualifying round with an impressive 4 over par, 75, which was the second best score of the day amongst the dozens of golfers present today at a windy EastonCountry Club. Overall, the Panther golf team played well, shooting a 330 (averaging an 82.5 per player), but couldn't compete with the two winning teams, who each shot a 312 (Nauset and Hingham). Though the team will not advance, they are thrilled for their representation in the final round. Manning is very hopeful and enthusiastic about his opportunity as only a sophomore.
