Great night for WH Soccer Teams
The Whitman Hanson girls soccer team celebrated senior night with a 2-0 win over Bridgewater Raynham. Kelsey Gilbert opened the scoring at the 15 minute mark when she fired home a Marina Kelly cross. With 5 minutes remaining in the half Gilbert returned the favor to Kelly as she sent a thru ball by the defenders and Kelly calmly touched the ball by the charging keeper. The defense of Lily Higgins, Hayley Bukow, Hayley Wells and Stephanie Warn helped Lauren Clark earn the shutout in goal. Clark made two outstanding saves to preserve the victory.

The Whitman Hanson Boys soccer team battle Bridgewater Raynham to a 1 – 1 under the lights at Dennis M. O’Brien Field.
After a 0 – 0 1st half and some good saves by Captain Jason Malloy, BR scored at the 28th minute on a nice goal by Matt Cicalis. The Panthers continued to put pressure on BR and were awarded a penalty kick at the 38th minute. Captain Mike Auld stepped up and tied the game.
Chris Huyghe played goal in the 2nd half and 3 big saves at the end of the game to preserve the tie. Captain Stephan Stephansky played well on defense which kept us in the game. This was senior night and they all contributed to a very exciting game.
