Girls Track Cruises

The Whitman-Hanson girls indoor track team improved to 3-0 on the season with wins over Middleboro (68-32) and over Randolph (79-15). Kelsey Tierney was a double winner for WH…in the 1000m (3:20.3) and 2mile (12:10). Sam Coletti won the mile (5:18)…Haley Wells won the 300 (45.7)…Victoria Gately won the 55hurdles (10.34). These three along with Jill O’Leary teamed up to win the 4x400 relay. The 4x200 team of Alvila Gillis, Kelsey Gilbert, Alicia Ferraro, and Jordyn Braley won…as did Gillis in the shot put. This was a solid pair of wins for the girls…as many of them ran faster times/threw further/jumped higher and further than last week. That is what we are looking for…but we have a very tough Pembroke team next week…and it’s going to take a lot of career bests to compete with them. It’s time to see what we are made of!!!
