> Bridgewater-Rayhnam came into Whitman-Hanson on Friday night and the two teams played a great back and forth match with both teams trading the lead several times. Ultimately, W-H was able to finish each of the sets on a run and won 3-0. Game scores were 25-23, 26-24 and 25-23. In the first set B-R got out to an early lead at 8-3 but W-H was able to slowly climb back into the game to tie it up at 12-12. From there the two teams played back and forth for the remainder of the set until W-H was able to close out the game with strong defensive plays that helped the offense get going. In the second and third sets the teams again went back and forth with leads. In the end the Panthers offense was able to make the right plays when they needed to seal off the 3-0 victory. Strong players tonight for Whitman-Hanson tonight were Erin Clifford with 9 kills and 3 aces, Rachel Spillane with 7 digs, 3 kills and 2 aces and Alyssa Gacicia with 13 assists and 1 ace.
