Whitman-Hanson
Basketball
The Whitman-Hanson boys' basketball program will once again be
running its annual Future Stars basketball program during February vacation for
boys in grades 1-8. This two day basketball experience is always one of
the highlights of the year for youngsters from Whitman and Hanson.
On Monday February 16th, campers arrive at 9am and have
camp until 2:30pm. During this time, the campers will receive
instruction, participate in various drills and play lots of games. Our
younger campers in grades 1-3 will break up the day, by watching a movie.
On Tuesday February 17th, campers will arrive at noon and
participate in basketball activities until about 4:30pm. At this time,
the campers will go into the cafeteria for a pizza dinner (included in the
price of the camp). Following the dinner, the campers will all watch a
movie in the PAC and watch the varsity basketball team in action. The
campers will be chaperoned by our sub varsity basketball teams and freshmen
coaches. The order of these two activities is dependent on how the team
does in the opening round of the tournament. It is our hope that the
Panthers will be playing in the championship game like they have each of the
past 6 years. However, regardless of the order of these events, the camp
will get over at about 7:45pm (last year you may remember we had a double
overtime thriller which we were fortunate to win. The extra periods
resulted in an end time closer to 8:30pm).
The cost of the program is $100 if registered before February 6th.
After that date, the cost is $125. Each camper will receive a tournament
t-shirt and dinner as part of the tuition cost. To sign up click on this

or go to the athletic blog at www.whathletics.com . If
you have any questions, please email Coach Rodgers at Robert.rodgers@whrsd.org
. As with all of our programs, 100% of the proceeds of camps and clinics
are donated to the basketball program to support the various team activities.
Thank you!
