: Panthers lose to strong Quincy team, 3-0
The Panthers traveled to Quincy on Monday night to face off against one of the top teams in the Patriot league in the Quincy Presidents. The Panthers played a tough match but lost 3-0 despite solid play from the whole team. In the first set the Panthers were able to stay close with the Presidents for the beginning of the set but the Quincy attack and serving game proved more than the Panthers could keep pace with. In the second set both teams had solid play and pushed the score back and forth for much of the set until the Presidents were able to get on a run late to finish out the set. In the third and deciding set the Panthers jumped out to an early lead and looked to be marching towards a victory in the set until one of the Quincy servers went on a serving run to pull ahead of the Panthers. The Panthers got stuck in one rotation due to poor passing on serve receive which sealed the victory for Quincy. Playing well for the Panthers were Sophie O'Brien with 4 kills and 2 blocks; Chiara Cassiano with 5 kills and a block; and Sophia Raiche with 19 digs. The Panthers move to 12-7 on the season and host Scituate on Wednesday night.
