> The Whitman-Hanson Girls Varsity Lacrosse team played a non-league game at Oliver Ames this evening. It didn't take long for Whitman-Hanson to get going when Gabby Majenski scored the first of her hat trick within the first 20 seconds. The Panthers never let go of the lead and led 8-5 at the half after Taylor McVeigh ' s goal with 3 seconds left. In the second half, OA kept fighting and came within one goal, but Rachel Kelly scored her second goal of the game with 2 minutes left and the Panthers went on to a 14-12 victory. Also scoring for the Panthers was Lauren Bonavita ( 4 goals ), Rylee Holmes ( 2 goals ), Taylor McVeigh (2 goals), and Ali Joanis ( 1 goal ). The win puts the Panthers at 9-7 on the season ( 5-4 league).
