The Whitman-Hanson Field Hockey Panthers played today's against the Silver Lake Lakers in Whitman. The Lakers jumped in front of the Panthers with a goal within the first 2 minutes of the game making 1-0. The Lakers continued to apply offensive pressure throughout the first half. Just before halftime, the Lakers added 2 more goals making the score 3-0. With a strong defensive effort and sustained drives into the offensive zone, the second half seemed to favor the Panthers. However, Whitman-Hanson was unable to capitalize on their resurgence as the Lakers goalie was impressive in net. The final score was 3-0 Lakers get the win. The Panthers are back in action against Duxbury tomorrow in Duxbury.
