The Whitman Hanson golf team defeated the visiting Hanover Indians today 265-277. Though not their performance of the year for the Panthers, they played well enough to improve to 7-4 on the season.
Junior Matt Stanish was the lone bright spot for Whitman Hanson and the match medalist today with a 5 over par, 41.
The team is two wins away from qualifying for the state tournament. Though they feel comfortable with their position in the season at this point, they need to push themselves to ensure they reach that milestone. Next week they host Quincy and travel to Hingham and Plymouth North.
