> Whitman-Hanson Panthers traveled to Quincy and despite solid play were unable to secure a victory. Quincy was able to defeat the Panthers 3-0 with game scores of 14-25, 24-26 and 20-25. The Panthers were able to keep pace with the Presidents throughout the match but when it came to finishing the sets Quincy was able to make plays while the Panthers struggled to put the ball down on the other side of the net. Quincy served tough throughout the match and their serving kept Whitman-Hanson out of their offense. The Panthers played a great match but it just wasn't enough on this night to defeat the Presidents. Playing well for the Panthers tonight were setter Tori Perry with 17 assists; Sophie O'Brien with 9 kills and freshman Lexi Connolly with 3 kills and heads up play on defense. The Panthers head to Plymouth South next Monday for their final game of the regular season. A win in that game secures a tournament spot for the Panthers while a loss will end their season.
