The Whitman-Hanson Girls Track and Field team lost its opener last evening to Hingham High School by a score of 63-37 despite some outstanding performances. Alexandra Santos placed first in the 55 Meter Dash in 7.79 seconds, the fastest time of the over 150 Patriot League athletes competing in the event. Alex also finished 2nd in the Long Jump at 15' 10" and ran the first leg of the victorious 4 X 200 taking the lead from the start which her teammates (Olivia Reed, Allison Bartlett and Lily Nolan) never relinquished to win in a time of 1:53.97. The team of Dorothy DiMascio-Donohue, Olivia Morse, Lilly Perkins and Nicole Norve won the 4 X 400 in an impressive time of 4:29. Nicole Norve also placed 1st overall in the 1000 Meter run at 3:23. And Lily Nolan captured the 300, taking 1st place in 46.01.
