Senior Co-Captain Luke Tamulevich pitched a 3-hit gem in his first varsity start of the year to propel the Panthers into the state tournament for the second year in a row.
In their fourth game of the week, W-H scored 2 runs in the first inning after Tamulevich walked and went to third on a Jim Dolan Single. Tamulevich scored on a Mike Cook groundout and after Bob Caliri walked he and Dolan pulled off a double steal with Dolan scoring.
In the seventh Ethan Phelps went to second on a throwing error, was sacrificed to third by Dolan, and scored an insurance run on a deep sacrifice fly by Cook .
Caleb Burke, Ty Long and Ethan Phelps were outstanding on defense.
After beating Hanover today, Whitman-Hanson is now 10-3 overall and 9-2 in the Patriot League.
