The Whitman-Hanson Field Hockey Panthers played at home against the East Bridgewater Vikings and won 1-0. The first half was mainly the Panthers driving the ball into offensive zone and the Vikings playing back to protect their net. The score remained 0-0 until around 2 minutes left in the game when the Panthers were able to capitalize from a 25 yard free hit that was kept alive by freshman Joli Flamos. Her efforts lead to crisp pass along the goal line that was knocked into the net off the right post by sophomore Lauren Clark, her first goal of the season. The Panthers and Viking will meet again Tuesday night in East Bridgewater at 7 pm.
