Whitman-Hanson volleyball hosted Duxbury Thursday for a league match and the Panthers lost 1-3. The set scores were 25-20 (WH), 15-25 (D), 15-25 (D) and 17-25 (D). The Panthers played at a high intensity in the first set to win. WH was unable to keep up with the Dragon's tips and fast pace in the remaining sets. The Panthers played strong and communicated well as a team. Leaders on the court include senior setter Kylie Gervasio in her last home game as a panther with 23 assists. Senior outside Allison Hanlon was on fire with 8 kills along with senior middle Erin Leahy with 7 kills. Senior tri-captain libero Nicole Scott held the team strong in the back row with 17 successful digs.
The Panthers are 4-8 overall, 4-7 in league play and travel to Silver Lake on Monday 10/15.
