Volleyball Tryouts Changed

We are all very excited about the upcoming volleyball season which all kicks off tomorrow with tryouts.  We do have a little bump in the road as the humidity and weather pushed the gym floor project back a little bit.  Wait until you see the floor, it’s amazing and volleyball gets to be the first sport to play on it!

But, with the delay, we cannot hold tryouts at the high school tomorrow as planned but should be able to on Friday.  Tomorrow, Thursday 8/22, we will be at Whitman Middle school with freshmen practicing 11:30am-1pm and everyone else from 1pm-4pm.  We understand that some of you may have conflicts after 2pm as that was the time you were told you would be done. If that is the case, you may leave at 2pm without penalty. We are hoping everyone can make it for the entire time, but we understand this is a last minute change.

Also, as of this email,  13 students do not have up to date physicals on file.  It is highly recommended that everyone shows up with a copy of their most recent physical to avoid any problems.  Very often, students assume they are all set but their physical is missing or out of date.  If you have a copy with you, you cant go wrong.  We also have many students who do not have up to date impact tests.  Please go online at www.whathletics.com and take the test now.  All freshmen and juniors had to take it this year.  Also any senior or sophomore who is new also has to take it as the tests are good for two years.
