Field Hockey 9/03

The Whitman-Hanson Varsity Field Hockey Panthers played against the Pembroke Titans at home and lost 3-2.  The Titans got on the scoreboard early by finishing off a penalty corner within the first 10 minutes of the match.  Though the Panthers started to the control the ball after the goal, the Titans held the lead at the half.  The Titans scored early again in the second making the score 2-0.  The Panthers continued to move the ball aggressively and junior midfielder, Nicole Clack, scored her first goal.  The Titans scored again and were up by 2 goals.  The Panthers continued to rush the Titan net and sophomore midfielder, Joli Flamos, scored making the match 3-2.  The Panthers continued to pressure the Titan defense, but the Titans held out for the final whistle.
