The Whitman-Hanson Field Hockey Panthers played at home
against the Silver Lake Lakers and lost 3-2. The Panthers scored two
goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead on the Lakers. Sophomore midfielder
Mary Kate scored her first goal of the season and Senior Captain Maddy Tassey
netted her fourth. The Lakers were able to put two goals of their own and
tie the game up the half. The rest of the game was back and forth from
end to end. The Lakers were able to sink the winner with a mere 8 seconds left
in the game.
